We have a 1-Year, 100% onsite, Project Support Specialist contract in Jackson, Mississippi. The anticipated start is immediately.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Project Support Specialist to provide technical and operational support for the implementation and ongoing use of our clients' new vital records database management system. This role plays a critical part in supporting users across various stakeholder groups and assisting internal teams with system integration, data modernization, and interoperability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of the newly implemented vital records database management system to effectively support end users.
- Respond promptly to incoming phone calls, emails, and online inquiries regarding system usage, troubleshooting, and general assistance.
- Deliver training and ongoing support to external partners, including hospitals, funeral homes, coroner’s offices, hospices, and nursing homes, to ensure proficient use of the system.
- Provide technical assistance to internal Vital Records staff in support of data modernization and interoperability projects.
- Assist with the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of business processes related to vital records operations.
- Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of secure and efficient data transfer processes between state and federal partners.
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to assist both external and internal stakeholders in learning and effectively utilizing a new vital records data management system.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues involved in the collection, management, and development of agency data resources to support data modernization initiatives.
- 5–7 years of experience working with Windows 10 operating systems, including troubleshooting and support.
- 3–5 years of experience working with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience with DevOps practices and tools.
- 3–5 years of experience developing and managing reports using Crystal Reports.
- 1–2 years of experience writing and executing SQL queries.
- 1–2 years of experience working with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) standards for health data exchange.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with or on behalf of government agencies on data-related or IT implementation projects.
- Prior experience with Vital Records systems, processes, or operations.
