Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a senior procurement leader to guide the project's Supply Chain operations, including planning, subcontracting, materials management, and delivery of goods and services across multiple combined cycle power projects.

The role requires extensive EPC experience, strong cross-functional leadership, and a focus on safety, cost, and schedule while aligning with Bechtel's values. Based in Reston, VA with part-time telework and regular in-person attendance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) with 13–15 years of relevant experience
• Extensive experience in procurement, contracts, or supply chain management
• Experience on EPC projects and power island equipment agreements
• Experience drafting commercial terms for high-risk or complex agreements
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and develop project strategies
• Knowledge of major power plant equipment interfaces and project interfaces

Responsibilities

• Lead project procurement and supply chain activities from initiation through closeout
• Develop and implement project sourcing strategies and procurement execution plans
• Establish package strategies and acquisition plans for major equipment and services
• Direct bidder selection, market engagement, solicitation, evaluation, negotiation, and award
• Manage supplier relationships and drive performance and delivery reliability
• Oversee procurement execution to support cost, schedule, and quality requirements
• Lead procurement planning for critical equipment and milestones
• Direct expediting, supplier quality, and logistics to ensure timely delivery
• Manage supply chain risks and disruptions
• Coordinate procurement with engineering, construction, startup, and project controls
• Oversee materials management including forecasting, warehousing, and field support
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics with cost optimization
• Ensure compliance with sourcing practices and governance
• Lead and develop procurement, purchasing, expediting, and logistics personnel
