Job summary

Baker Construction is seeking a Project Superintendent to oversee the profitable installation of project work by directing staff and coordinating other trades. You will manage safety, planning, cost and productivity on medium to large projects, while maintaining strong client relations and a commitment to SQP culture.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and substantial related experience, with foreman and line/grade experience highly valued. Craft certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with 6+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Line & Grade experience is required or preferred.
• Foreman experience is expected.
• In-depth knowledge and experience of formwork systems.
• May require appropriate craft certifications.

Responsibilities

• Plans work and sets project execution strategy.
• Coordinates and directs project tasks across teams.
• Oversees staff and manages daily field operations.
• Promotes client and industry relations.
• Ensures a safe work environment and compliance.
• Participates in training and certifications.

Summary

The Project Superintendent directly and through subordinate Superintendents, oversees profitable installation of project work by directing co-workers and interfacing, coordinating and directing other trades. Responsible for all areas on medium or large projects including prime contracts. Responsible for safety, planning, cost and productivity, while perpetuating an SQP culture. Responsible for high level client relationship through professional conduct.
