Job summary

Superior Tank Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to lead field operations on industrial tank projects, including construction, maintenance, repair, and coating work.

You will supervise field crews, coordinate with project managers, customers, and subcontractors, enforce OSHA safety, review plans, track progress, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. Travel to multiple job sites is required; certification and strong leadership are a must.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial tank construction or related field operations.
• AMPP/NACE CIP Level II Certification required.
• Ability to read blueprints, specs, and project schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily field operations for tank construction, maintenance, repair, and coating projects.
• Lead and support field crews and subcontractors while managing schedules and ensuring projects stay on track.
• Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing company policies, OSHA regulations, and customer site requirements.
• Perform field inspections and monitor workmanship to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
• Collaborate with project managers, customers, vendors, and field personnel to keep projects running smoothly.
• Review project plans, specifications, and scopes of work before work begins.
• Track labor hours, production progress, materials, and equipment usage.
• Identify and resolve field challenges while developing practical solutions to keep projects moving forward.
• Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site audits as needed.
• Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and project documentation.
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with customers and internal teams throughout each project.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in industrial tank construction, coatings, maintenance, or related field operations.
• Strong knowledge of tank industry standards, field operations, and industrial project management.
• Proven experience leading field crews and coordinating multiple job sites.
• AMPP/NACE CIP Level II Certification required.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project reporting systems preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
