Supervises the field construction of a project, including its organization, planning, and scheduling, in order to complete the work on time, within budget, and to quality specified.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Primary liaison with owners, architects, and engineers for day‑to‑day construction activities.
  • Develop and implement overall project work schedules, identifying the critical path and expediting scheduled critical materials and equipment.
  • Lead, supervise, and develop all Turner field staff, including participation in performance appraisals.
  • Ensure strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements at all times.
  • Develop and manage the overall site safety program and ensure subcontractor compliance with Turner standards and applicable safety codes.
  • Make decisions related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and trade employee staffing levels.
  • Oversee work among all trades to promote and coordinate project operations, resolving local area problems regarding procedures, design clarifications, labor, equipment, and schedule.
  • Manage labor relations with subcontractors and Turner trade staff.
  • Implement mock‑ups and associated testing, review, and approval.
  • Ensure all necessary permits and insurance are in place and current, acting as liaison to inspection agencies.
  • Perform in the capacity of Stormwater Compliance Coordinator (SCC) in accordance with Turner's Stormwater Compliance Program.
  • Manage the General Conditions and General Requirements (Back Page) to maintain the budget.
  • Manage the billing process related to Work‑In‑Place (WIP), monthly estimates, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications.
  • Ensure work is installed in compliance with and conforms to the approved contract documents.
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of four years of related training and at least eight years of building construction experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Thorough knowledge of general and subcontract documents, drawings, specifications, construction methods, materials, line and grade, and survey methods. Knowledge of construction cost control and basic accounting procedures. Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to implement leading‑edge technologies such as BIM and Lean. Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication. Knowledge of accounting and cost control procedures.

Physical Demands

Requires the ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, use construction personnel hoists, climb ladders, and negotiate construction work areas. Requires close, peripheral, and depth vision, and the use of hands to handle tools and controls. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

Regularly works on‑site at a construction site, exposed to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, and possible electrical shock. Noise levels are usually moderate to very loud.
