Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Project Specialist to lead end-to-end delivery of complex network infrastructure programs across global markets. You will oversee multi-vendor execution, cross-functional alignment, and technical validation for services such as Dark Fiber, Leased Wave, and IP Transit.

You will manage scope, milestones, risks, and dependencies while serving as the primary customer contact. Experience in telecom provisioning and global vendor programs is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ end-to-end delivery experience in network or fiber infrastructure projects.
• Strong data analysis and ability to report SLA/KPI performance.
• Experience managing technical or delivery teams.
• Experience supporting hyperscalers providing cloud, networking, and data storage.
• Experience in telecommunications provisioning, service delivery or network deployment.
• Proven ability to lead telecom/network operations teams and structured problem solving.
• Experience delivering infrastructure programs with global vendors.
• Familiarity with RAID, project management, and network testing workflows.
• Hands on exposure to North America and/or LATAM carrier environments.
• Practical knowledge of IP Transit and Peering, Dark Fiber and Wavelength services, optical transport technologies, and fiber infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Management

• Lead network infrastructure projects—from planning and design through implementation, testing, and customer acceptance‑scale network infrastructure projects—from planning and design through implementation, testing, and customer acceptance

• Manage scope, milestones, risks, and dependencies across multiple concurrent programs

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle.

• Present program plans, set expectations, and ensure client business priorities are accurately translated into execution requirements

Vendor & Partner Oversight

• Act as lead vendor manager for all assigned projects, ensuring compliance with SLAs and contractual obligations

• Track performance, address slippage, and elevate issues through vendor leadership when needed

Cross Functional Team Coordination‑Functional Team Coordination

• Drive alignment across internal teams (TPMs, Fiber Network Deployment, Technical Field Assist, etc.) to ensure seamless execution

• Coordinate all activities required to achieve design readiness, field deployment, testing, and turn‑up

Risk & Issue Management

• Own RAID (Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies) management for the entire program

• Identify risks early, implement mitigation plans, and elevate critical blockers to protect delivery timelines

Governance & Reporting

• Lead all program governance touchpoints, including kickoff, weekly status, vendor syncs, and escalation calls

• Produce concise, data driven dashboards and health reports for internal leadership and clients‑driven dashboards and health reports for internal leadership and clients

Technical Oversight & Acceptance

• Oversee technical delivery activities such as cross‑connect facilitation, fiber readiness validation, and test/turn‑up scheduling

• Manage final acceptance with vendors, ensuring all network elements meet technical and performance criteria

Project Closure & Documentation

• Ensure accurate acceptance dates, proper documentation, and complete handoff packages for downstream teams (e.g., TPMs)

• Launch client and vendor satisfaction surveys to confirm delivery quality and identify improvement opportunities

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years’ end‑to‑end delivery experience managing network or fiber infrastructure projects

Preferred Qualifications:

• Data analysis and reporting ability to understand SLA/KPI performance.

• Experience managing technical or delivery teams

• Experience supporting hyperscalers that provide cloud computing, networking, and data storage

• Working within telecommunications provisioning, service delivery, OR network deployment environment

• Experience leading teams preferably a telecom, network operations, or Service Delivery environment‑oriented, and capable of structured problem solving

• Experience delivering infrastructure programs with global vendors

• Familiarity with project management, RAID processes, and network testing workflow

• Hands on exposure to global carrier environments across North America, and/or LATAM

• Practical knowledge of:

  • IP Transit and Peering

  • Dark Fiber & Wavelength services

  • Optical transport technologies

  • Fiber infrastructure and related network equipment

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage clients, leadership teams, and partner organizations

• Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects, and operate in fast paced, time-sensitive environments

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of structured problem solving
