Job summary

Carlson Building Maintenance Inc. in the Upper Midwest is seeking an entry-level Project Specialist to perform floor care—stripping, waxing—and carpet cleaning at client locations under limited supervision, ensuring presentation and cleanliness.

The role includes traveling between stores, providing teamwork with other Carlson staff, training new employees, filling in for absences, and potential promotion to supervision or management as the company cultivates internal talent.

Job Summary

A Project Specialist is responsible for cleaning floors, stripping, waxing, general floor and carpet care to maintain the presentation and cleanliness of the flooring. Project Specialist provides superior cleaning services onsite at Carlson client locations under limited supervision and works in a collaborative relationship with other Carlson Building Maintenance team members. Project Specialist are also candidates for future Supervisors and Managers. Millage and time is paid when traveling between store locations

Job Tasks

• Traveling to different stores to perform cleaning and waxing projects

Requirements

Physical Demands

• Ability to regularly lift 45 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull floor cleaning equipment over concrete, tile and carpeted floors.
• Must possess sufficient physical strength, ability and stamina to perform a variety of janitorial tasks related to care of floors.
• Ability to work with a variety of cleaning products.
• Ability to work night shift and/or very early morning hours as dictated by the needs of the position.
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
