Our Client
an international company, specializing in instrumentation, sensors, gauges and software for the oil & gas, food and medical industries. They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Specialist to join their dynamic team.
- Coordinates and manages project orders as assigned following company procedures and policies.
- Verifies the observance of project execution activities to company procedures and policies.
- Serves as the primary customer contact for the duration of the project.
- Enters orders into the ERP system.
- Categorizes project files and specifications and shares with other participants.
- Organizes and conducts internal and external commencement meetings as demanded by the complexity of the project.
- Develops and owns the Project Plan including schedules, milestones, activities, procurement strategy, execution strategy, resources, communications, and risk analysis.
- Confirms there is alignment between the customer’s required delivery date and company commitment date, including milestone dates for document submittals and approvals, hold points, inspection, and testing dates.
- Analyzes project specifications and related data along with PMO engineering to provide accurate technical and sales order requirements to CAD technicians.
- Reviews drawings and product design(s) in conjunction with Senior Project Contract Coordinator (SPCS) and Project Management Engineering for compliance with company standards, customer contract requirements & related specifications, and recommends changes when necessary.
- Coordinates with document control to guarantee the timely submittal and approval of documentation delivery.
- Manages and takes ownership of the documentation files including worksheets and forms related to the project.
- Performs supplementary duties as needed.
- Coordinates with production, CoEs, subcontractors, and the customer throughout the life of the project to accelerate deliverables and approvals and provides ongoing progress reports.
- Monitors order progress and coordinates with engineering, procurement, planning, production, quality, and logistics to meet contractual project deadlines.
- Examines project records -product files, related documents, and correspondence- for accuracy.
- Reviews design documents, release, request, and change forms under the guidance of the SPCS or Project Management Team Leader prior to signature.
- Ensures proper project close-out; such as lessons learned, documentation completion, payment completion, and MRO handoff.
- Supports Project Proposals Specialists (PPS) with the preparation and submittal of sales quotations when required.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in related field such as Engineering or Business (preferred), coupled with 3+ years of project order management experience, or 6+ years of project order management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of the EPC, Capital Projects, and Oil & Gas markets.
- Process industries instrumentation and controls experience preferred.
- Certified Associate Project Management (CAPM) preferred.
- Knowledge of sales application processes.
- Exhibits organizational skills, attention to details, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to take care of the customers’ needs while following company procedures and policies.
- Capacity to perform under pressure and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Computer literate and knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Products, DMS, CAD, and ERP Systems.
