Job summary

Excel Fluid Group is seeking a Project Solutions Engineer to support Business Development and Project Sales with early technical reviews and robust, defensible system designs. The role emphasizes practical engineering judgment and credible recommendations to win and scope projects.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil PE license or have licensure exposure, with 5+ years in related civil or water/wastewater engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
Active Professional Engineer license preferred or required.
5+ years of civil/water-wastewater/infrastructure engineering experience.
Ability to review plans and provide practical engineering recommendations.
Comfortable collaborating with BD and Sales teams.

Responsibilities

Review specifications, drawings, and project data early to evaluate feasibility and risk.
Provide design comments and engineering recommendations to support BD discussions.
Translate client needs into technically sound, cost-conscious system designs.
Assess hydraulic, civil, electrical, and site considerations before proposals are finalized.
Prepare design reports, review packages, and documentation for external review.
Participate in client calls, site visits, pre-bid discussions, and technical consultations.
Collaborate with internal and external experts to refine defensible system designs and handoff.
Support engineering review of project work, including stamped reviews where licensed.
Maintain knowledge of EFG products, industry standards, and best practices.
