Convergint is seeking a full-time, enthusiastic Project/Service Team Leader to join our amazing culture. You will lead projects and ensure customer satisfaction while aligning with our values.

You will manage technical teams, coordinate with Service Coordinators, and drive on-time, on-budget delivery across building automation and security systems. This role offers growth in a collaborative environment with a focus on world-class service and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience with building automation, fire alarm, or life-safety systems.
• Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Promote Recruit Awesome People program and strengthen colleague-first culture.
• Serve as the key interface for technical support and training, maximizing customer satisfaction.
• May perform system integrations, upgrade planning and execution, audits, and database management.
• Identify project risks and help implement strategies to minimize impact on costs and deadlines.
• Coordinate with Service Coordinators and Specialists to optimize project scope and continuous improvement.
• Oversee management of projects within budget and scope; assist in installation planning and service agreements.
• Mentor and develop colleagues; plan, assign and direct work.
• Perform other duties as required.

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

• Colleague is key interface for the provision of technical support and training for the customer and as such is accountable for maximizing customer satisfaction.
• May provide custom systems integrations, detailed systems upgrade planning and execution, systems audits and consultation, and/or database management and manipulation. May install, configure, and support a variety of network systems and equipment for assigned projects.
• Identifies potential project risks, communicates to appropriate parties and assist in the development and implementation of strategies to minimize impact and to control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
• Works closely with the Service Coordinator’s and Specialist to assist in the overall coordination of specific projects; makes recommendations regarding potential changes in scope and identifies ways to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
• Oversees overall management of project(s) for successful and timely completion within budget and scope of work as required by the contract. Works with the Service Coordinator’s to prepare project installation plan and implement job procedures Manage service agreements and time and material work .
• Supervises Service Coordinators may perform managerial responsibilities including but not limited to: mentoring, coaching and developing colleagues; planning, assigning and directing work.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

What You’ll Need

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to regularly work under pressure; consistent ability to maintain awareness of, and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
• Strong technical skills and experience related to building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems; may adapt procedures, processes, tools to meet the more complex requirements of the job.
• Must be a self-starter and work well without supervision.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Advanced organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Highly proficient computer skills including familiarity with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Requirements:

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 4-6 years relevant

Preferred Experience: (but not required):

• Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation
