Job summary

BL Companies in Meriden, CT is seeking a mid-level environmental professional with 6+ years of experience to support the Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation Group. The role covers field work, proposal prep, phase-level management, subcontractor oversight and advanced reporting.

Responsibilities include Phase II/III investigations, field supervision, permitting, site documentation and regulatory filings.

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in environmental site assessment investigations.
  • Experience in field sampling of environmental media (soil, water, air, waste).
  • Strong knowledge of Connecticut RBCRs (formerly CT RSRs), site characterization, and conceptual site modeling
  • Experience with Phase/Task level management of Phase I,II,III ESA, Remedial Planning, and Remediation, including scheduling, budget tracking, and coordination with subcontractors, client representatives, and stakeholders.
  • Strong technical report writing skills with ability to draw conclusions and recommendations for next steps in achieving applicable site objectives and milestones.
  • Ability to draft proposals that include technical scope and fees.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to access remote locations and sites for sampling.
  • Ability to lift/carry field equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity in AutoCad and/or GIS preferred.
  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour Certification preferred.
  • Flexibility to travel, when needed, to support regional office objectives and project needs.

Job description

We are looking to hire a mid-level professional with 6+ years of experience to work with the Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation Group to provide quality services to our clients.
