Job summary

KGO is seeking an experienced Construction Scheduler / Project Controls specialist to provide Owner’s Representative scheduling support for large hyperscale and mission-critical data center projects in the Atlanta area. This full-time, on-site role requires five days per week at the project site and involves independent work with project teams and key stakeholders.

Ideal candidates will have 8+ years of scheduling experience, lead scheduler experience on large projects, and strong CPM/EVM

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-time professional construction scheduling experience supporting an Owner or GC in a mission-critical environment.
• 4+ years as a Lead Scheduler on large-scale mission-critical projects.
• Mid-to-advanced proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Strong understanding of CPM scheduling, schedule logic, resource loading, delay analysis, and construction sequencing.
• Ability to effectively challenge contractor schedules and communicate findings to project leadership.
• Ability to work on-site five days per week in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, status, analyze, and report on construction schedules.
• Review contractor baseline schedules and updates for accuracy, logic, sequencing, resource loading, and overall credibility.
• Perform CPM, EVM, Time Impact Analysis, and schedule QA/QC.
• Analyze schedule impacts associated with changes, claims, delays, and change orders.
• Develop schedule recovery strategies, work-arounds, corrective actions, acceleration plans, and schedule scenarios.
• Monitor contractor progress and identify potential schedule risks before they affect project delivery.
• Coordinate schedule requirements with construction, commissioning, controls, project controls, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Review construction drawings, including MEP single-line diagrams, to understand scope, sequencing, and schedule impacts.
• Lead schedule reviews and clearly communicate schedule performance, risks, and recommended actions to project leadership.

KGO is seeking an experienced Construction Scheduler / Project Controls professional to provide Owner’s Representative scheduling support for large-scale hyperscale and mission-critical data center projects in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

This is a full-time, on-site position requiring five days per week at the project site in the Atlanta area. We are looking for a highly experienced scheduler who can work independently alongside project teams, general contractors, and key stakeholders while providing sophisticated schedule analysis and project controls support.

Location

Atlanta, GA - On-Site: 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, status, analyze, and report on construction schedules.
• Review contractor baseline schedules and updates for accuracy, logic, sequencing, resource loading, and overall credibility.
• Perform Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM), Time Impact Analysis, and schedule QA/QC.
• Analyze schedule impacts associated with changes, claims, delays, and change orders.
• Develop schedule recovery strategies, work-arounds, corrective actions, acceleration plans, and schedule scenarios.
• Monitor contractor progress and identify potential schedule risks before they affect project delivery.
• Evaluate schedule-driven change orders, claims, and time-extension requests.
• Coordinate schedule requirements with construction, commissioning, controls, project controls, contractors, and other stakeholders.

• Lead schedule reviews and clearly communicate schedule performance, risks, and recommended actions to project leadership.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of full-time professional construction scheduling experience supporting an Owner or General Contractor in a mission-critical environment.
• 4+ years as a Lead Scheduler on large-scale mission-critical projects.
• Mid-to-advanced proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Strong understanding of CPM scheduling, schedule logic, resource loading, delay analysis, and construction sequencing.
• Ability to effectively challenge contractor schedules and communicate findings to project leadership.
• Ability to work on-site five days per week in the Atlanta, Georgia area.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Lead Scheduler on large or hyperscale data center projects.
• PSP, PMI-SP, or PMP certification.
• International mission-critical project experience.
• Bilingual Spanish/Portuguese capability.

Ideal Candidate

We are particularly interested in candidates with significant hyperscale data center experience who understand the demands of working on behalf of an Owner. The ideal candidate can independently evaluate GC schedules, identify schedule and sequencing issues, perform sophisticated delay and impact analysis, and translate complex schedule information into actionable recommendations for project leadership.

This position supports an active construction project in the Atlanta area and requires consistent on-site presence five days per week. Candidates should be comfortable working directly with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders in a fast-paced, mission-critical construction environment.
