Job summary

Kiewit is hiring several mid-career Project Schedulers to support our industrial group across North America. You will build and maintain resource-loaded schedules, analyze critical paths, and deliver progress reports as milestones advance.

This role requires 3+ years in construction/engineering scheduling and a detail-oriented mindset. Based in US or willing to relocate to project sites, you will collaborate with project managers, engineers, estimators and procurement to drive on-time project

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in construction/engineering scheduling with resource-loaded schedules.
  • Experience with datacenters or advanced tech preferred.
  • Knowledge of EPC, JV, Lump Sum, Time and Material, Maintenance cost-control.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain resource-loaded project schedules from concept through construction.
  • Collaborate with PMs, engineers, estimators and procurement to plan milestones.
  • Prepare standard project progress reports and monitor critical path.
  • Update schedules for design changes and slippages and report impacts.

Location
  • This position may be based in a district or area office or on a project site, depending on business needs.
  • Candidates must be willing to travel and relocate as required to support project assignments.
  • We offer relocation assistance or per diem to the project for the assignment duration.
Responsibilities
  • Work with a team of schedulers to support projects of all sizes, maintaining the highest quality and accuracy in all schedule aspects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, estimators, procurement staff, construction managers, contractors and other project services staff to provide detailed planning and scheduling from conceptual planning through engineering and construction.
  • Develop resource‑loaded schedules, including activity lists, major milestones, critical approvals, long‑lead procurement items and other critical deliverables.
  • Create schedule logic and constraints, realistic activity durations and available manpower and resources.
  • Assess the impact of design changes and schedule slippages, informing company management and clients of updates.
  • Apply knowledge of engineering, procurement and construction terminology, work processes and concepts to maintain critical path logic networks and use historical data for realistic forecasting.
  • Prepare standard progress reports for each assigned project.
  • Confirm project status, identify and report schedule variations promptly.
  • Coordinate development, maintenance and review of discipline and project schedules.
  • Upload original and updated resources to reflect current status.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of schedule submittals and related facts, enabling precise measurement of requests for time adjustments.
  • Coordinate with the project team to develop revision or recovery schedules as needed.
  • Prepare written narratives for all schedule submittals.
  • Track contract document requirements for schedule compliance, including change orders and amendments.
  • Interpret performance curve data and forecast productivity, providing manpower information for forecasting.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of construction/engineering scheduling experience (resource‑loaded schedules); proficient in developing logic and constraints, WBS structure, reviewing manpower curves, identifying gaps and reporting scheduling variations.
  • Experience with datacenters or other advanced technologies is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards and an in‑depth understanding of relationships between functional units.
  • Working knowledge of standard cost‑control methods for various project types (EPC, Joint Venture, Lump Sum, Time and Material, Maintenance).
  • Skilled in Primavera (P6) and other company‑specific software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering preferred; technical training or related experience also considered.
