Job summary

Rowan Digital Infrastructure is seeking a Project Scheduler to own and manage schedules for large-scale data-center development across the United States. The role interfaces with development, energy, economic development, engineering, and construction teams to maintain accurate baselines and forecasts.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data-center scheduling or related construction scheduling, plus proficiency with Procore, MS Project, and Primavera P6.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own and update multiple schedules of projects across the United States.
• Set up project baselines, critical path analysis, planning and forecasting with PMs and leads.

• Document scheduling processes and maintain records.
• Coordinate timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly status reports for project progress.
• Collaborate with teams to evaluate planning scenarios as needed.
• Support schedule reporting for internal and external parties and interpret cross-discipline data.
• Create concise bullet points for investor updates.
• Conduct regular delay surveys and quantify impacts of changes.
• Contribute to scheduling best practices and training materials.

Role Summary

Rowan Digital Infrastructure is looking for a Project Scheduler to own and manage all facets of scheduling as it relates to all phases of large-scale data-center campus development and build. The Project Scheduler will work on the Scheduling Team, report to the Schedule Manager, to interface with the internal multifunctional Rowan teams (development, energy, economic development, engineering, and construction) to ensure that those stay up to date and accurate.

The successful candidate will have the experience, knowledge and leadership skills to manage multiple schedules and versions of those individual schedules that can at any time be presented to various stakeholders within the project ecosystem. The successful candidate will also have a deep understanding of all facets of the project development stages and building process, from project initiation through all phases of evaluation, development, permitting, construction planning and foundational work through to project completion and turnover. The ideal candidate will have a background in large-scale construction scheduling/planning, strong collaboration, and project management skills, allowing them to bring a variety of stakeholders together to create, manage and maintain project schedules.

Travel: Ability to travel up to 10% for company gatherings or to industry events.

Location: Denver, CO (3-day hybrid in-office role)

Compensation: $125K-150K (Offers Bonus)

Essential Responsibilities

• Own and update multiple schedules of projects ranging across the United States

• Consult with project managers (PMs), Construction Managers, General Contractors, and technical leads to set up project baseline schedules, critical path analysis, project planning and forecasting, progress validation based on assignments, tasks, and subtasks

• Identify potential project schedule delays and facilitate escalation to the appropriate PM in a timeous manner

• Document project scheduling processes and maintaining records

• Coordinate project timelines with internal departments and pertinent external stakeholders for multiple projects in varying stages of development

• Participate in the development and maintenance of periodic (weekly, monthly, quarterly) status reports to keep Project Managers and teams informed on project progress

• Collaborate with project teams to evaluate multiple planning scenarios, as needed

• Work with PMs and leadership to support schedule and milestone reporting for internal and external parties. Incorporate and interpret information from disciplines across the Rowan team

• Develop easily digestible bullet points or summaries for weekly, monthly and quarterly internal and investor updates

• Conduct weekly/daily delay surveys to maintain and work with PMs to update schedule changes in real-time and quantify the impact of each change to the schedule in a timely fashion

• Contribute to the development of processes, training materials and scheduling best practices

Education, Skills, and Experience

• A minimum of five years' experience as a project scheduler with at least two years of dedicated scheduler experience in data center development or a related industry such as industrial or build-to-suit commercial construction. Experience in Data Center development or large-scale GC construction scheduling is highly preferred

• Demonstrable experience with managing the schedules of multiple complex, multi-phased projects simultaneously

• Proficient in Procore and other construction management software

• Advanced proficiency with using MS Project and Primavera P6 (such as project updates, maintaining a baseline, analyzing float and variance, logic checks, reports, coding, layout resources, etc.)

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional environment
