Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a Project Quality Manager to lead the development, implementation, and management of site-specific quality plans across our project sites. You will work with the project leadership, clients, and inspectors to ensure full compliance with contract documentation and standards.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in construction quality management for Solar, Natural Gas, and Oil/Gas projects.
  • 3+ years in supervisory/management role.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ASME, API, NEC, and related standards.
  • Proven ability to build and execute quality programs from the ground up.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with quality management software and reporting tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Construction Management (preferred).
  • Certifications such as CWI, NACE, API, PMP, or Six Sigma are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Project Quality Management Plans (PQMPs) tailored to industry-specific requirements.
  • Lead QA and QC efforts across multiple construction sites, ensuring contract compliance.
  • Supervise and mentor quality control inspectors and engineers; manage a team of quality personnel.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and root cause analyses to resolve quality issues.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and subcontractors to ensure quality objectives are met.
  • Interface with clients and regulatory bodies regarding quality matters and documentation.
  • Maintain and report KPIs related to quality metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure proper documentation and traceability of materials, inspections, and testing.
  • Support commissioning and turnover processes with complete quality documentation packages.

Position Overview

Located on one of Kiewit’s project sites, the Project Quality Manager (PQM) is responsible for the development, implementation, and management of a site-specific quality plan and all other quality-related functions necessary to deliver the project fully compliant with all required contract documentation. The PQM is a member of the overall project leadership team, and therefore must be able to work with minimal supervision, interact professionally with the project team and client personnel, have excellent written / verbal communication and conflict resolution skills, manage a diversified workload and challenging situation efficiently and effectively, have a Continuous Improvement (CI) mentality, and takes the lead role on managing quality on the project.
