Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) or equivalent industry experience.
• 10+ years supporting EPC construction, pharmaceutical, industrial, semiconductor, or hyperscale projects.
• Experience with EPC company and direct project/site experience.
• Strong QA/QC background on large-scale construction projects.
• Experience supporting startup, commissioning turnover, or operational readiness.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, utilities, electrical systems, HVAC, process systems, and equipment installations.
• Experience coordinating with clients, contractors, subcontractors and cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with construction quality documentation, inspections, NCR management, and turnover processes.

Responsibilities

The Project Quality Manager is responsible for leading QA/QC, startup readiness, and systems turnover activities on large-scale EPC projects. This individual will work directly on the project site to ensure all civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and equipment installations meet project specifications, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. The role serves as a key liaison between construction, commissioning, client, and project teams to support a smooth transition from construction through commissioning and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project QA/QC activities across all EPC construction scopes.
• Ensure installations comply with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support startup, commissioning readiness, and system turnover activities.
• Monitor field execution and verify system completion before commissioning.
• Manage turnover packages, test records, punch lists, and completion documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, vendors, commissioning teams, and project stakeholders.
• Drive resolution of quality issues, NCRs, and corrective actions.
• Support construction quality audits, inspections, and reporting.
• Ensure alignment between construction progress and commissioning milestones.

This individual will be overseeing a confidential pharmaceutical project in Kankakee, IL. There will be per diem provided of 5500 per month (taxed).

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or related field) or equivalent industry experience (5-10 years).
• 10+ years of experience supporting EPC construction, pharmaceutical, industrial, semiconductor, data center, or other hyperscale/mission critical projects.
• Experience with an EPC company and direct project site/construction site experience.
• Strong QA/QC background within large-scale construction projects.
• Experience supporting startup, commissioning, turnover, or operational readiness activities.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, utilities, electrical systems, HVAC, process systems, and equipment installations.
• Experience coordinating with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and cross-functional project teams.
• Familiarity with construction quality documentation, inspections, NCR management, and turnover processes.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience on pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated facility projects.
• Experience with OFCI/CFCI equipment integration and turnover.
• Experience working in JV (Joint Venture) or multi-contractor environments.
• Proficiency with Aconex, Procore, or similar construction/document management systems.
