Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Project Quality Manager II to own quality on capital projects from the owner's side: write the project quality plan, set surveillance and audits, qualify vendors, and report quality performance to the project team.

This role requires 6+ years in quality on construction projects, ISO 9001 lead or internal auditor certification, and the ability to enforce quality requirements with contractors.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in quality on construction or industrial capital projects
• 2+ years leading a project quality program
• ISO 9001 lead or internal auditor certification
• ASQ CQA or CMQ-OE preferred
• Experience with owner-side quality programs in industrial, energy, infrastructure, or federal work
• Able to write quality requirements that contractors can actually execute, and to enforce them

Responsibilities

• Write the project quality plan and the contractor and supplier quality requirements that flow from it
• Plan and lead surveillance and audits of contractors and suppliers
• Qualify vendors and inspection agencies
• Review and accept contractor QC plans, ITPs, procedures, and inspector qualifications
• Own the project nonconformance, corrective-action, and lessons-learned processes
• Report quality metrics and risks to project leadership and the owner's quality organization
