Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Project Quality Manager I to support owner-side quality on capital projects. You will perform surveillance of contractor and supplier quality activities, review QC records, track audit findings to closure, and report quality status to the project quality lead.

The role fits an inspector or QC engineer who wants to write the requirements rather than operate a contractor’s QC crew. Travel to active sites is required and pre-employment screening applies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in quality control, inspection, or QA on construction or industrial projects.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles.
• A certification such as ICC, NICET, CWI, or CIP is a strong plus.
• Comfortable reading specifications, procedures, and inspection records and finding the gaps.
• Clear written reporting.
• Organized under document-heavy work.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality surveillance of contractor and supplier work against the project quality plan and specifications.
• Review contractor QC plans, ITPs, inspection records, and material certifications for completeness and compliance.
• Track audit findings, nonconformances, and corrective actions in the project quality database.
• Witness hold and witness points and document the results.
• Prepare weekly quality status inputs for the project quality manager.
