Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer

As a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer you can be part of a dynamic team shaping the future of the communities we represent. This role offers the opportunity to lead and direct the design of water/wastewater/treatment/distribution/collection projects, manage project scope, schedule, and budgets, and provide technical direction to a team of design engineers and technical staff.

Location and Work Arrangement

This position may be based in any Ohio office as a hybrid role collaborating with team members in other offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct design of water/wastewater/treatment/distribution/collection projects from the planning and design phases
• Create, manage, and develop projects to meet desired scope, schedule, and budgets
• Prepare construction documents including plans and specifications
• Prepare project cost estimates and schedules
• Provide overall supervision and technical direction and expertise to a team of design engineers and technical staff
• Coordinate multi-disciplined engineering teams
• Interact with and oversee the work of CAD staff
• Interact with regulatory agencies
• Support or lead preparation and development of proposals and strategic client pursuits
• Client management and development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering
• 6+ years’ experience in water/wastewater/treatment/distribution/collection planning, design, and construction administration as a lead design engineer or project manager
• Current PE license in OH is required
• Experience working with municipal and private clients
• Understanding of state and federal funding opportunities for projects
• Experience in regulatory compliance requirements and permitting
• Strong team leadership experience or proven potential, including managing project delivery expectations, prioritizing tasks, and mentoring
• Excellent technical skills in the water/wastewater/treatment/distribution/collection practice area

Salary

Starting salary is $110,000, with final compensation determined based on qualifications, experience, and licensing status.
