What you will enjoy doing
  • In this role, you will participate in the Sales Kick-off meeting
  • You will initiate and execute the Procurement Kick-off meetings
  • Assess Procurement Risks during the execution
  • Further, you will create the project vendor list and coordinates the Procurement and shipping schedule
  • You will be responsible and accountable for the Project Procurement Strategy
  • You will prepare, issue and execute of global inquiries as well as the global bid comparison
  • Create and control the monthly discipline report (MDR)
  • Qualification of alternative materials or sources and ensuring financial and quality objectives/requirements are clearly identified and met is crucial to this role
  • Prepare Requests for Proposals and oversee proposal process for assigned materials/ services
  • You will ensure manufacturing and global contracts are administered in accordance with contract terms
  • You also will recommend new processes where needed to improve quality or on-time delivery
  • Collects and communicates commercial lessons learnt within Procurement as well as in Cross functions
  • You will coordinate, control and steer the procurement activities inside a virtual team
What makes you great
  • You have a Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year College or university; MBA desirable
  • Additionally, you have 5-10 years’ experience as a Commodity Manager of a Procurement organization with global procurement responsibility beneficial or Project Manager in a global operating engineering company or combination of related experiences
  • Experience with ERP business system is required for this role
  • C.P.M. (NAPM Certified Purchasing Manager) and CPIM (APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management) strongly preferred
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the organization
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations as well as the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals at a professional level
  • You have effective presentation skills, including organizing and making presentations, and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
  • Further, you have the ability to correctly apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions, conversions of weight/dimensions/currency, ability to draw and interpret graphs
  • Must understand Accounting principles as applicable to procurement
  • Must possess strong financial analysis skills including but not limited to cost and price analysis, analyzing foreign currency impacts on material/service costs, and calculating time value of money
