Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Project Supply Chain Coordinator for the Waco, TX project sites. The role focuses on direct supervision of material storage and the 3Cs—Care, Custody, and Control—at one or more sites, with travel to project locations as needed.

You will conduct material-related analytics to support the project’s needs and ensure efficient inbound/outbound logistics, inventory tracking, and distribution.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant post-education experience.

  • 3-5 years of quantifiable experience in Supply Chain Management practices.
  • Advanced Excel and Office 365 proficiency.

WSP is initiating a search for a Project Supply Chain Coordinator for our Waco, TX location. This is a field role which primarily operates in Construction environments supporting the execution of construction activities.

WSP is initiating a search for a Project Supply Chain Coordinator for our Waco, TX location. This is a field role which primarily operates in Construction environments supporting the execution of construction activities.

This Opportunity

The purpose of the Project Supply Chain Coordinator is to directly supervise and manage material storage site(s) activity on a WSP project where we are providing SCM and/or Material Management services. The role will be accountable for the operations at one (1) or multiple sites ensuring the 3C’s (Care, Custody, and Control) are maintained over safeguarded material. Additionally, role will be responsible for conducting Project material-related analysis to provide insights and support the needs of the Project. Employees in this role will primarily work on location at the project construction sites (Waco, TX). The yard work hours are from 7am – 4pm, however there will responsibilities that may require you to arrive prior to opening the yard, and to stay after closing the yard.

Your Impact
  • Supply Chain Management
    • Performs supply chain and logistics functions, such as material/services procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution.
    • Coordinates and integrates the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers
  • Inventory Control
    • Ensures that inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel
    • Maintains controls over various types of inventories (e.g., raw materials, subassemblies, finished goods)
    • Conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records
    • Ensures that quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correct
    • Conducts analyses of inventory levels, and coordinates with production and sales requirements
    • Coordinates inbound and outbound logistical operations including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products
  • Transportation Management
    • Analyzes transportation and distribution systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and economical delivery of the organization’s products
  • Analytics
    • Conduct detailed analysis of inventory in comparison to project needs (site, schedule).
  • Role will be located at the Project Site (Waco, TX) consisting of:
    • Onsite Work (Office, Field)
    • Travel

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
  • 7+ years of relevant post-education
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Individual must have experience in an inventory controls role, managing, and fostering the development of personnel assigned to them
  • 3-5 years quantifiable experience in Supply Chain Management practices
  • Team members must be extremely proficient in the Office 365 suite of software, with an emphasis in Excel. Advanced Excel knowledge is beneficial
  • Experience in collaborating on Projects as a value-added member
  • Physical Components of the Role
    • Must be able to stand for multiple hours on a rocked surface
    • Must be able to walk over 10,000 steps a day on a rocked surface
    • Must be able to lift, carry, and/or manipulate materials weighing up to 50lbs
    • Must be willing to spot equipment on the yard during operations, traveling to/from storage locations, and loading of trucks with equipment
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience with Maximo systems
