Role Description

The Project Manufacturing Engineer is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Manitowoc, WI. This role is responsible for leading manufacturing engineering activities for new and existing products, including developing and optimizing production processes, workflows, and layouts. Day‑to‑day tasks include collaborating with cross‑functional teams on project planning, identifying and resolving manufacturing issues, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring that safety, quality, and cost targets are met. The engineer will create and maintain documentation such as work instructions, process specifications, and technical reports, while supporting equipment selection, implementation, and maintenance. The role also involves analyzing production data, implementing lean manufacturing practices, and providing hands‑on support to operations to meet project timelines and performance goals.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in manufacturing process development, process optimization, and production line layout.
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and CAD models.
• Competence in data analysis, problem solving, and using metrics to drive decisions.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment, tooling, and automation used in manufacturing environments.
• Strong collaboration skills for working with design, operations, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Effective written and verbal communication, including clear documentation and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in energy, power systems, or heavy equipment manufacturing is beneficial.
• Familiarity with safety standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements in manufacturing.
