As a key member of our manufacturing and product development teams, you'll help shape the next generation of highvolume consumer products by applying DfM/DfA principles, designing efficient assembly processes, and supporting new products from prototype through full production. You'll work sidebyside with product design, production, and tooling experts, gaining handson experience, expanding your technical capabilities, and opening doors to future roles in engineering leadership, operations, product management, quality, and more.

There are a variety of technical areas throughout the product lifecycle that you could encounter from day one, such as:

  • Assembly process development and optimization, including time studies, production line balancing, and pareto/defect analysis
  • Development and effective documentation of standard work procedures and product manufacturing process notebooks
  • Specification of requirements for tooling and workstations
  • Application of Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DfM and DfA) principles, and how to provide effective feedback to product design teams throughout design cycle
  • Project management skills, particularly as related to coordinating logistics and efforts between engineering, operations, and manufacturing plant
  • Industry standard techniques and best practices for manufacturing quality improvement, such as Six Sigma

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00
  • 1 - 3 years' experience in a related field
  • Process Failure Modes Effects Analysis (PFMEA) experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel examples include overseeing manufacturing and supporting product transfer to long-term build facilities
