Kokosing Industrial, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee industrial construction projects, primarily water/wastewater, factories, data centers, and related facilities across various clients.

The role involves leading Project Engineers, Superintendents and Foremen, ensuring projects meet schedule and budget, and coordinating with prime clients and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will have a Civil Engineering or Construction Management background with 10+ years of experience,

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and leadership are required for coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Solid understanding of safety policies and on-site safety practices.
  • Experience with CPM-based scheduling and project controls is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client to facilitate construction activities.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within corporate policy.
  • Confer with project staff to outline work plan, assign duties and authority.
  • Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of the project; arrange for personnel.
  • Direct and coordinate activities to ensure work progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Review project proposals to determine timeframe, funding, procedures, staffing and resources.
  • Review status reports and modify schedules/plans as needed.
  • Prepare project reports for management and client.
  • Coordinate activities with governmental agencies and subcontractors.
  • Understand and execute CPM-based project schedules.
  • Monitor construction to ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance.
  • Represent the company in Owner progress meetings.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts and project profitability or loss.
  • Lead project team in daily field coordination, weekly block schedule, and monthly safety kickoff meetings.
  • Mentor and assist with career development of team members.

Job Description: Summary

Plans, directs, and coordinates construction activities for a wide variety of industrial projects. Project types range from Water/Wastewater plants (primarily) to factories/production facilities, data centers across a wide variety of industries and clients. Typical workload volume is overseeing one large project or a couple/several smaller projects. Ensures that project goals are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Manages Project Engineers, Superintendents and Foremen who supervise construction employees; charged with overall direction, coordination and evaluation of team.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client to facilitate construction activities.
  • Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
  • Confers with project staff to outline work plan, assign duties/responsibilities and authority.
  • Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project - arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure work progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.
  • Reviews project proposal or plan to determine the timeframe, funding limitations, project procedures, staffing requirements, and available resources to various phases of project.
  • Reviews status reports from project personnel and modifies schedules/plans as needed.
  • Prepares project reports for management, client, or others.
  • Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  • Coordinates project activities with activities of governmental agencies and subcontractors.
  • Understands and is able to analyze and execute CPM-based project schedules.
  • Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent to ensure project is built safely, on schedule and within budget.
  • Represent company in Owner progress meetings.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts and responsible for project profit or loss.
  • Lead project team in daily field coordination meeting, weekly block schedule meeting and monthly safety kickoff meeting.
  • Mentoring and assist with career development of other team members.
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management PE credentialing is not required but is a strong plus 10+ years’ experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance, and management required HVAC Experience preferred

  • Expected annual salary range for this positions is: $110,000 - $160,000.00 USD Annual plus profit share.
  • This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
