Who are we looking for?

GHD’s Northeast Water and Wastewater group is looking for a Project Manager to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you will assist with investigations, designs, and project development for water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and collection systems throughout the region. You will also help grow our Water business in Pennsylvania and the region, providing leadership to our team of Water professionals.

Working with an energetic team, this position involves:

1. Project Leadership: Direct technical and production work, manage contracts, and serve as primary client contact for projects such as:

• Design and analysis of multi-disciplinary treatment facilities
• Collection and distribution projects including linear and pumping systems
• Treatability studies and pilot evaluations
• Financial and operational reviews
• Development of leadership skills for the Project Director role within 12 months

Team leadership and engagement: Manage water professionals, foster growth, collaborate with leadership, mentor young professionals, and ensure compliance with safety and management systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering or related field
• PE license in PA or ability to obtain it
• 8+ years of relevant water engineering experience
• Knowledge of water regulations including wastewater treatment, surface water, lead and copper, and disinfection rules
• Strong communication skills, team and independent work capability
• Willingness to travel as needed
