Job summary

Pape-Dawson Consulting Engineers, LLC is seeking a Project Manager to lead planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects in public and private sectors. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, oversee project execution, and foster strong client relationships.

Required are a Civil Engineering degree (ABET) and a PE license, with at least 7 years of project experience and strong leadership, communication, and mentorship skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET‑accredited program.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience managing water and wastewater projects from conception through completion.
  • Strong knowledge of design and construction practices for waterlines, storage tanks, pump stations, wastewater lines, lift stations, and force mains.
  • Working knowledge of design and construction for water and wastewater systems, including treatment facilities.
  • Proven leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and sustain client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to work Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm with overtime as needed.

  • Lead and mentor project teams in preparing engineering designs, reports, calculations, permitting documents, and presentations.
  • Prepare and negotiate proposals, contracts, and client agreements.
  • Develop responses to RFQs, solicitations, and bond applications for utility district and public sector clients.
  • Attend client, municipal, and board meetings to present project progress and provide technical expertise.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, public agencies, and community leaders.
  • Support team members’ technical and professional development.
  • Contribute to company‑wide design standards, QA/QC processes, and best practices.
