Job summary

HDR is seeking a Project Manager for the Water Business Group in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on leading water and utility projects through planning, design and construction phases, while expanding client relationships across Georgia.

Candidate should have a BS in Engineering, 7+ years of related experience including 2+ years in project management, and a PE license. Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project is expected.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer license recognized by the local board.

Project Manager – Water Business Group

HDR is looking for a Project Manager with a background in the water and utility management industry to join our growing Water Business Group team in Atlanta.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through planning, evaluation, design, and construction phases.
• Work with current and potential clients to further growth objectives across Georgia.
• Manage projects such as master plans, utility management evaluations, design and assessment of water transmission pipelines, pump stations, wastewater collection systems, and treatment infrastructure projects.
• Plan studies, provide environmental services, coordinate with subconsultants and utility owners, and perform office services during construction.
• Direct delivery and production staff and perform client management activities to support our South Atlantic Area based Water team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 7 years related experience inclusive of a minimum of 2 years experience in project management
• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license).
• MS Office and MS Project experience.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with water/wastewater projects.
• Master's degree.
• Georgia PE or ability to obtain.
