Job Summary

The role of the Project Manager is to deliver their portfolio of projects safely, efficiently, and with high-quality.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Deliver projects on schedule, within budget, and with the highest level of safety and quality.
  • Properly plan, execute, and close projects.
  • Lead the multi-discipline project team, ensuring that communication is frequent and complete.
  • Ensure that project decisions are made within the broader context of safety adherence and financial stewardship, and the need to meet customer and quality requirements.
  • Provide support for the construction crews with respect to technical requirements and the management of scope, schedule, and resources.
  • Assist the field operations team in the development and improvement of crews.
  • Provide client management, communication, and support.
  • Provide professional development of Project Engineers and Project Coordinators.
  • Additional duties as required
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Experience working with PG&E or other large Electric Utility Companies
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management software (Viewpoint or similar) and Scheduling software (Primavera or similar)
  • Ability to manage simpler projects (single commodity, one customer, self-performed, short duration)
  • Ability to actively manage a portfolio value of $10 million or less
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels and in all formats
  • Ability to think creatively and be solution focused.
  • Proven organizational tools and methods for ensuring all commitments are met.
  • Must be able to work on W2
  • Must live in California, driving distance to Concord
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, project management, business or construction management desired
  • Have 5-8 years of applicable experience
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 10lbs
  • Work at a desk and on computer approximately 6-8 hours per day
  • Perform with frequent interruptions and/or distractions
  • Perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload
  • Uses telephone and email to communicate with vendors, customers, and co-workers

Compensation
  • Salary range of $105,000 to $140,000 (Exempt)
