Job summary

KEITH Engineering Design in Orlando, FL is seeking a self-motivated Project Manager / Civil Engineer with roadway experience to join our Transportation team. The successful candidate will work on FDOT design projects and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex roadway designs and reports.

The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage tasks and schedules, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment. FDOT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• FDOT design experience is preferred and roadway project exposure is essential.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Proactive, self-driven team player with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed roadway designs.
• Prepare and implement project plans.
• Research and provide estimates for projects.
• Review government regulations and ordinances.
• Make recommendations or present alternative solutions to problems.
• Apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks.
• Perform basic design tasks.
• Assign tasks and coordinate with Engineers, Technicians, and administrative staff.
• Interact with staff, public officials, and contractors.

KEITHis a multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm looking for a self-motivated and experienced Project Manager / Civil Engineer with Roadway experienceto joinour Transportation team in ourOrlando, FL office. The successful candidate must have FDOT design experience, as they will be required to work on FDOT design projects, and will need to have the knowledge of fundamental engineering processes required to carry-out the concurrent planning, design, production and construction of our engineering projects. Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to produce technically complex design plans and reports is a must.

What you'll do:

• Developdetailed designs.


• Prepareand implementproject plans.


• Researchand provideestimates for projects.


• Reviewgovernment regulations and ordinances.


• Makerecommendations or presentalternative solutions to problems.


• Applystandard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment.


• Performbasic design tasks.


• Assigntasks to and coordinatewith Engineers Technicians andadministrative staff.


• Interactwith staff, general public, officials, and contractors.

Job Qualifications:

• FloridaEIT or PE license preferred


• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering


• Must haveexperience with Microstation and/orORD (Open Roads Designer)


• Must have FDOT design experience


• Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Bluebeam


• Capable of roadway plans production


• Independent personality, pro-active, enthusiastic, self-starter with a good attitude who pays attention to details and is willing to work in a supportive, fast-paced environment


• Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential, as is the ability to work with clients and colleagues at all levels
