Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) seeks a Transportation Senior Project Manager for our Scott Depot, WV office. The role focuses on leading transportation projects for federal, state, local and private clients, with PE or Professional Surveyor licensure and WVDOH/AML/USACE experience preferred.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years of experience, strong communication skills, and a track record of delivering complex projects on schedule while mentoring staff in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in transportation project management.
• Bachelor of Science in a related field; MS preferred.
• Professional Engineer licensure or Professional Surveyor license.
• Experience with WVDOH, AML, and USACE is required or a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage all aspects of transportation projects.
• Coordinate engineers and balance the project delivery team.
• Develop client relations, proposals, and contractual matters.
• Participate in reviews with agencies for code compliance.
• Lead design sessions with cross-disciplinary staff and manage budgets.
• Mentor staff and ensure timely deliverables using MicroStation/Open Roads/Civil-3D.

GPI has an immediate opening for a Transportation Senior Project Manager in our Scott Depot, WV office. Ideal candidates will hold a Professional Engineer certification or a Professional Surveyor License and have experience working with the West Virginia Department of Transportation, Division of Highways (WVDOH), Abandoned Mine Land Reclamation program (AML), and/or US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Responsibilities

• Plan and manage all aspects of transportation projects.
• Independently coordinate the work of engineers and balance the project delivery team throughout the entire project's development.
• Establish client relations and be involved with marketing and proposal development, contractual matters, design and production meetings.
• Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
• Conduct work sessions for design development and contract documents in conjunction with staff from other technical disciplines.
• Coordinate workload throughout entire project development and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule.
• Track and manage project budgets.
• Proficiency and experience utilizing software applications (e.g., MicroStation, Open Roads, Civil-3D, etc.) with minimal to no guidance.
• Mentor staff.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience
• Bachelor of Science in related field (M.S. is preferred)
• PE licensure or Professional Surveyors License
• WVDOT Transportation Engineering Technician Certification (TRETCNO) a plus
• Experience with WVDOH, AML, and USACE required
• Experience with County and municipal clients a plus
• Quality control quality assurance, and project management experience is required
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent organizational skills
• Positive attitude and good work ethic with a desire to work in a collaborative environment

Requirements

• Maintain a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration.
• Read, write, and understand plans and directions given in the English language.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to create and edit Microsoft Word and Excel documents, create Outlook emails and utilize SharePoint and Microsoft Teams to communicate with other team members.
• Able to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material, with a variation of elevation 19" or less (mud, gravel, rutted ground, etc.)
• Able to wear GPI required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, and/or safety glasses/goggles while working
