Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies in Burlington, MA, is seeking a Project Manager for Transmission Lines to lead complex EPC projects across design, procurement, and construction phases.

You will manage scope, schedule, and budget, interface with clients and stakeholders, and drive quality, safety, and on-time delivery. Travel to project sites is expected, with hybrid or flexible work options after the first 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• PE, P.Eng or equivalent professional license.
• Experience leading transmission line projects from concept to delivery.
• At least 7+ years of relevant industry or construction management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams through design, procurement, and construction phases.
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget for EPC projects.

Job Title

Project Manager for Transmission Lines

Key Responsibilities

• Actively promotes the safety culture.
• Responds to RFPs and prepares proposals for services and/or EPC work.
• Leads project team in conceptual design and procurement phases of substation projects.
• Manages schedule, budget, and scope of services and/or EPC projects.
• Interfaces between the client, external stakeholders, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Works in both a corporate and field environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant industry experience or construction management experience.
• Experience with transmission line projects.
• Experience in multiple phases of project execution.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or relevant degree.
• PE, P.Eng or equivalent professional license.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to complete required pre‑employment onboarding (background check, drug screen, motor‑vehicle record search, etc.).

Travel & Work Environment

25% travel to project sites; based out of Boston office.

• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment.
• Sitting, standing, and computer use for extended periods.
• Utilizes video/audio conferencing tools for internal and external communication.
• Travel to client sites.
