Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers seeks a Project Manager to lead planning, coordination, and delivery of civil engineering projects. You will balance technical quality with strong project and people leadership, managing scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining client expectations.

Responsibilities include coordinating multidisciplinary teams, providing technical oversight, and supporting business development. ABET-accredited degree and PE license are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Minimum of 5 years (6 preferred) managing projects from conception through completion.
• Strong leadership, mentorship, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate project teams to deliver high-quality work in accordance with scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
• Manage project execution, including scopes, budgets, schedules, risks, deliverables, and resource coordination across concurrent assignments.
• Provide technical leadership and quality oversight for project deliverables such as plans, reports, calculations, specifications, estimates, and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary team members, subconsultants, clients, agencies, and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain timely delivery.
• Build and maintain trusted client and stakeholder relationships through responsive communication and sound judgment.
• Support business development and pursuit activities, including scope development, proposals, qualifications, interviews, teaming, and other client development efforts.
• Mentor and develop engineers, designers, analysts, and other staff through day-to-day direction and feedback.
• Demonstrate accountability for deadlines, productivity, and financial stewardship while fostering strong working relationships.
• Lead traffic engineering studies and design packages, including signals, signing, pavement markings, and traffic control plans.
• Oversee traffic impact and corridor analyses and related technical reports.
• Direct signal timing and coordination, turn-lane and intersection improvements, and multimodal accommodations.
• Coordinate traffic engineering work with roadway, drainage, structures, and planning disciplines.
• Ensure traffic analyses and design deliverables conform to applicable standards and agency requirements.
