ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies, seeks a Project Manager to join the Tenant Solutions/Adaptive Reuse team in downtown Chicago. You will manage all phases from preconstruction through closeout, coordinating with clients and the design team to develop concepts and budgets and oversee subcontractor buyout and schedules.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in Engineering, 2–5 years in construction mgmt, and proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook/Microsoft Project.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field
• 2-5 years of construction management or engineering design experience
• Experience leading ground up commercial, light industrial, multi-family, hospitality, or entertainment construction projects preferred
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of the project from preconstruction through closeout
• Work with clients and design team to develop preliminary concepts and project budget
• Participate in client meetings to review scope, discuss costs, and negotiate contracts and fees
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout for all trades and vendors
• Identify opportunities to procure materials or equipment directly when advantageous
• Collaborate with the Project Superintendent on scopes, schedule, and site logistics
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings to resolve constructability and manpower issues
• Lead weekly OAC meetings on-site after construction begins to review progress and challenges
• Track project performance vs. budget and manage pay applications and progress billing
• Maintain a culture of safety, quality, and client satisfaction

ARCO/Murray National Construction is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager who is passionate about the design/build construction process to join our Tenant Solutions/Adaptive Reuse team based in downtown Chicago. A Day In The Life

• Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout
• Work closely with clients and the design team to develop preliminary concept drawings and project budget
• Participate in the proposal meeting with clients to review the scope of work, discuss ways to reduce costs, provide value engineering ideas, and negotiate contracts & fees
• Oversee subcontractor selection and buyout process for all trades and vendors
• Identify and investigate opportunities to procure material and/or specialty equipment directly when advantageous to project budget or schedule
• Work with Project Superintendent to develop and review subcontractor scopes of work/contracts, project schedule, and site logistics plan
• Lead preconstruction planning meetings with all designers, subcontractors and vendors aimed at solving potential constructability, sequencing, and/or manpower issues
• Lead weekly/bi-weekly OAC meetings on-site once construction begins to review progress and address challenges directly with client
• Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports

Necessary Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field
• 2-5 years of construction management or engineering design experience
• Previous experience leading ground up commercial, light industrial, multi-family, hospitality, or entertainment construction projects is preferred
• Proficiency using Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project

Typical base compensation for the Project Manager role is between $84,000.00 - $135,000.00. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. In addition to the base salary, the role is eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company.
