Job summary

malincareers is seeking a Project Manager to oversee full lifecycle of material handling projects, from order placement through installation and closeout. You will coordinate customers, suppliers, and engineering teams to ensure on-time delivery and safe execution.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in conveyor/controls projects, with hands-on wiring, PLC/HMI coordination, and go-live support. Travel up to 75% is required in this role.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager for material handling, conveyor, or related field.
• Experience managing conveyor installation projects including mechanical, electrical, and controls.
• Hands-on experience programming, supporting, or troubleshooting conveyor controls preferred.
• Experience leading conveyor commissioning, I/O checkout, PLC/HMI coordination, go-live support.
• Experience working with conveyor electrical installation teams (wiring, panels, sensors, VFDs, networked devices).
• Ability to read conveyor layouts, controls drawings, and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Identify risks and issues, and drive timely resolution to protect cost and schedule.

The Project Manager is responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from order placement through installation and final project closeout. Key responsibilities include:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, subcontractors, sales, and engineering throughout the project
• Develop and maintain accurate project records, schedules, documentation, and status updates within project management systems
• Proactively identify project risks, issues, and potential impacts to cost or schedule, and drive timely resolution
• Provide clear and consistent project updates to customers and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with customer expectations and company standards

Qualifications & Experience

• 3-5 years’ experience as a Project Manager for a material handling system provider, conveyor integrator, controls contractor, or closely related field
• Experience managing conveyor installation projects, including coordination of mechanical installation, electrical installation, controls integration, and system start-up activities
• Prior hands‑on experience personally programming, supporting, or troubleshooting conveyor controls is strongly preferred
• Experience leading or participating in conveyor commissioning efforts, including I/O checkout, device testing, PLC/HMI coordination, functional testing, and go‑live support
• Experience working with or leading conveyor/controls electrical installation teams, including field wiring, panels, sensors, motor controls, VFDs, scanners, photo eyes, E‑stops, and networked control devices
• Ability to understand conveyor layouts, controls drawings, electrical schematics, installation plans, and customer specifications

Up to 75% of travel is required for this role.
