Project Manager (PS), Survey - Bentonville, AR
Halff has an immediate opening for a Survey Project Manager who is a Professional Surveyor for our Bentonville, AR office. The ideal candidate would bring at least 1-2 years of management experience in the Survey industry. Previous experience managing large-scale, land survey projects, including overseeing field crews and multiple survey technicians and other registered surveyors, is highly desired. What You Will Do
- Responsible for managing and overseeing a wide variety of projects for the Survey practice.
- Strong design and project management experience and knowledge of working with local entities.
- Manage design and plan production as well as manage clients and supervise technical staff through workshare opportunities with various practices and offices at Halff.
- Be active in professional organizations that benefit the Survey industry.
- Develop a network of municipal clients and teaming partners.
- Develop and manage project scope, personnel, budgets, schedules, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
- Oversee the project's financial health, report issues, and develop solutions.
- Provide support to business development efforts to guide and lead each phase of the process in preparation of proposals, while emphasizing quality outcomes.
- Lead by example in a professional, productive, and established work environment.
- Assist with the operational flow for a survey team to collaboratively prioritize projects of all sizes and complexities.
- Report on project progress and budgets.
- Work with the Survey Team Leader and Operations Managers on business development activities.
What You Will Need
- 1‑2+ years of demonstrated management experience in the Survey industry.
- PS in the state of Arkansas, preferred, or ability to become licensed in Arkansas within a year.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large‑scale land survey projects, including overseeing field crews, multiple survey technicians, and other registered surveyors.
- Boundary and Right of Way resolution experience.
- Preparation of proposals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external clients.
- Ability to work autonomously, mentor, and professionally develop Survey Technicians and field crew members.
- Exceptional ability and practical experience to successfully manage projects, including developing scope of work, schedule, and fee while adhering to established guidelines.
- Technical understanding and proficiency with Trimble Business Center and Civil 3D.
- Experience with ARDOT, Public Works, Energy, Water & Wastewater, and/or Land Development projects is ideal.
- Hands‑on experience with various municipalities in the Northwest Arkansas market.
