Job description

Job Overview

The Project Manager for Substation will own the bottom‑line for services projects encompassing high‑voltage, medium‑voltage, low‑voltage, underground, and overhead transmission lines. The role may also include distribution, private networks, and BESS projects. The position is hybrid with up to 10% travel to project sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively promote the safety culture.
• Respond to RFPs and prepare proposals for services work.
• Lead the project team in conceptual design and procurement phases of substation projects.
• Manage schedule, budget, and scope of services projects.
• Interface between the client, external stakeholders, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Work in both corporate and field environments.

Management Responsibilities

The Project Manager manages a project team, which may vary by project.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant industry experience, including high‑voltage, medium‑voltage, and low‑voltage substations.
• Experience in multiple phases of project execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant field.
• Professional Engineer license (PE, P.Eng) or equivalent.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records search).
