Job description

EDGE Fall Protection designs, engineers, procures, and installs OSHA-compliant fall protection systems: guardrail, ladders, platforms, skylight protection, and rooftop access. Architects, engineers, EHS professionals, building owners, property managers, and general contractors come to us for OSHA expertise, project consultation, and the products that prevent workplace falls.

What sets us apart is the fastest response time to customers, a one-stop shop, and expert problem solving, and it shows in our 5-star reviews from local business owners to Fortune 500 executives. Every project we take on runs through three teams: Sales, Engineering, and Installation.

About the Role

We’re hiring our first dedicated Project Manager. When a customer issues a PO, you take the project from the sales rep and own it from there, driving engineering forward, keeping every team aligned, and handing Install a project that’s ready to run.

Our sales team is growing, and right now our reps carry a lot of that coordination. This role takes it off their plate so they can focus on customers, and gives every project one owner who makes sure it lands right. You’ll report to our VP of Sales and work closely with our Operations Manager, our Engineering Manager, and outside engineering firms.

What You'll Do
  • Own projects from PO to install-ready. Take the handoff from Sales, dig in to understand the job, and own the project record, the team chat, and the communication from there.
  • Be the hub between teams. Make sure every scope, cost, or material change reaches everyone who needs it. Run regular check-ins between Sales, Engineering, and Install, and keep open questions from sitting unresolved.
  • Drive engineering forward. Coordinate customer design sign-offs and drawing handoffs, manage our outside engineering firms and their turnaround, and help find what's slowing projects down.
  • Catch problems before the field does. Review drawings for how the system actually goes together, and check that the PO, the approved drawing, field conditions, and what was sold all match before anything ships.
  • Keep Sales and Finance in the loop. Flag major changes to the rep without pulling them back into the details, and give Finance early notice on billing milestones, contract details, and insurance needs.
  • Keep HubSpot current. Move your projects through our Engineering and Install pipelines so anyone can see where things stand, and help build the reports we use to measure progress.
  • Also on your plate: submittals, contractor prequalification platforms (Avetta/ISN), schedules of values, and contract terms including prevailing wage.
What Success Looks Like
  • Projects reach Install complete and correct, with no missing scope, materials, or documents.
  • Engineering and installation move faster, because nothing waits on a missing answer.
  • Fewer surprises in the field and less rework.
  • Sales reps stay focused on customers instead of chasing project details.
How You'll Grow Into It

We have a structured 90-day onboarding plan. You’ll spend your first month learning our products, process, and people across Sales, Engineering, and Install. By day 60 you’ll be running your own projects with support close by, and by day 90 you’ll own a full slate. Decision authority builds over your first six months: early on you recommend and your manager decides, with full authority by month six.

What We’re Looking For
  • A mechanical mind. You can look at a drawing, understand how the thing gets built, and notice what's missing.
  • Ownership. You hit your marks, close loops, and don’t let details drop.
  • Curiosity. You ask questions and pull information out of people instead of assuming.
  • 3+ years in a role that pairs coordination with something you can build or see, whether that’s the office, the field, the shop, or the drawing board.
  • Comfortable working with customers, vendors, engineers, and field crews.
  • Experience with a CRM and project tools. We use HubSpot, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, and Bluebeam.

Backgrounds that translate well: construction project management or superintendent work; steel or metal fabrication, detailing, or estimating; CAD drafting or engineering support; field install, foreman, or trades experience; and anything in fall protection or working at heights.

Fall protection is a niche, and we’ll teach you the product. We’re hiring for mechanical aptitude, ownership, and drive.

Pay and Benefits
  • Pay: $75,000–$110,000 per year base, based on experience
  • Health: health insurance plus a Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Retirement: 401(k) with company match
  • Time off: paid time off (PTO)
  • Team culture: monthly team outings, like boat club days, pickleball, escape rooms, rock climbing, and happy hours
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, day shift
  • Location: in person in Eden Prairie, MN, five days a week for the first six months; hybrid may be considered after that with leadership approval
  • EDGE Fall Protection is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status.
