Job summary

Cirks Construction Inc. (CCI), dba KDC Construction, is seeking a Project Manager for Special Projects in Roseville, CA.

You will oversee special projects from initial client contact through field hand-off, manage budgets, and coordinate with the project team, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality and KPI adherence. The role requires 2–5 years of PM experience, strong knowledge of building trades, and proficiency in MS Project, PlanGrid, and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of project management experience.
  • Technical knowledge in General Building, Plumbing, Electrical, Kitchen Equipment, and HVAC/Refrigeration commercial construction trades.
  • Preconstruction experience including site surveys and site walks, subcontractor/vendor selection, and preparation of budgets and client proposals.
  • Scheduling, purchasing, estimating experience; managing personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Flexible schedule; willing to work some nights and weekends.
  • Ability to read and understand plans and specifications; problem-solving.
  • Proficient with computers; MS Office; MS Project preferred; PlanGrid/Bluebeam a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all special projects, repair requests, and scope walks requested by customers.
  • Work with the project team from client contact through hand-off to field teams and accounting close.
  • Comply with the customer’s priority matrix and service level requirements.
  • Manage and mentor field resources, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Establish and maintain positive long-term client relationships.
  • Lead preconstruction: site surveys, subcontractor selection, and client proposals.
  • Communicate outsourced scopes with subcontractors and vendors; negotiate pricing; process subcontracts or P.O.s.
  • Develop budgets and estimates; plan resources; oversee progress.
  • Ensure all work requests are completed on schedule and updated in customer systems.
  • Manage designated budgets and communicate profitability to management.
  • Coordinate permits acquisition.
  • Ensure timely and accurate subcontracts, vendor P.O.s, and change orders.
  • Provide weekly customer update reports.
  • Verify timekeeping and timesheets for on-site personnel.
  • Uphold safety requirements under Health, Safety, and Environmental Program.
  • Other duties as assigned.
