Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Project Manager – Solar for a 1-year contract in Florida. You will join the Early-Stage Solar Engineering & Construction team, working largely independently as business and project support, reporting to the onsite manager in Juno Beach. Relocation is available.

Responsibilities include managing multiple solar projects through screening, diligence, and early-stage prep, with budgeting, analysis, and cross-functional support to reach corporate targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Engineering.
• Project Management experience.
• Strong financial and data analysis skillset.
• Mechanical awareness and/or interest in technical variables.

• Take ownership of and independently manage a portfolio of assigned Solar projects through Early-Stage processes.
• Support and guide the team toward project, department, and corporate targets.
• Analyze technical and financial data, build variables, indicators, and trends.
• Investigate market impacts on the portfolio of projects.
• Daily manage each Solar project, ensuring feasibility, schedule, and financial viability.
• Own each project capital budget, balancing variances across the portfolio.
• Utilize software to support activities, manage data, and report indicators.
• Support Early-Stage team with process, tools, and training projects.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Project Manager – Solar on behalf of our client. This is a 1‑year contract assignment (W‑2). You will join the Early‑Stage Solar Engineering & Construction (E&C) team and work largely independently as business and project support in collaboration with the Solar Regional Lead Project Manager. You will report to the onsite manager. Location: Juno Beach, FL. 33408. Relocation package is available.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of and independently manage a portfolio of assigned Solar projects through the Early‑Stage processes, including Screening, Diligence, and Early‑Stage Pipeline preparation for turnover to Late‑Stage Project Management.
• Leverage technical, commercial, and financial expertise to support and guide the broader team toward overall project, departmental, and corporate targets.
• Analyze technical and financial data, build notable variables, indicators, and trends.
• Investigate broader market impacts on your portfolio of projects.
• Daily manage each assigned Solar project, ensuring technical feasibility, schedule appropriateness, commercial support, and financial viability.
• Own each individual Solar project capital budget, balancing variances across the portfolio.
• Utilize multiple software applications to support activities, manage critical data and deliverables, and report on key indicators.
• Support the larger Early‑Stage team with process, tools, and training projects.

Salary

Base salary range for this position is estimated to be $35.00/hr. to $40.00/hr. This estimate is dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills.
