Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a full-time, PE-licensed Project Manager for Site Development, based in our Franklin office. The role will lead project design, client communication, permitting, and overall management on a wide range of commercial development projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, a PE license, and 5+ years of site design, planning, and project management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).
• 5+ years of experience in site design, planning, and project management.
• Extensive knowledge of design and construction practices and collaboration.
• Strong oral and written communication with all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, plan production and permitting for land development projects.
• Mentor engineers and technical staff to serve clients effectively.
• Engage in proposal development and client agreements.
• Develop relationships with clients, agencies and community leaders.
• Coordinate tasks, budgets and schedules to respect client timelines.
• Support professional development of team members and seek guidance from leaders.
• Participate in professional associations and civic organizations.
• Perform additional related duties as needed.

• Lead and actively participate in the design, plan production and permitting for land development projects.


• Lead and mentor a group of technical professionals – engineers and technical support – to serve our clients well.


• Engage in the proposal and client agreement development and execution.


• Develop trusting professional relationships with clients, public agency officials and community leaders.


• Be respectful of client time‑lines through effective coordination of project tasks, budgets and schedules.


• Champion the professional development of each member of a project team according to each member’s individual goals and career path.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.


• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.).


• 5+ years of experience in site design, planning, and project management.


• Extensive knowledge of design and construction practices which, by passing on that knowledge to others, will aid in your success.


• Proven ability to effectively and respectfully communicate, both oral and written skills, with all levels of employees.


• There may be times when working overtime is necessary.
