Job summary

Impellam Group seeks an experienced automotive program manager to lead a cross-functional team in launching a new vehicle on time and within budget across multiple locations.

The role emphasizes tracking resource plans, funding, and master schedules, with daily pilot meetings and risk escalation. Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional team to launch a vehicle on time and within budget
• Create and track resource plans, WBS, and master schedule
• Establish project funding and track status to budget
• Lead steering committee and elevate issues
• Develop pilot schedules and track plan vs. actual with daily meetings
• Manage global KPIs/KAIs and elevate risks
• Coordinate and lead workshops to resolve major issues
• Collaborate with team leads, quality and engineering to meet objectives at station/plant
• Build relationships with engineering and manufacturing to understand new product requirements
• Develop and improve work methods
• Support productivity, quality, and output improvements
• Drive industrial system initiatives for Launch Domain

Job description

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Lead a cross-functional team to successfully launch a new vehicle on time within budget
• Create and track resource plans, WBS, and master plan
• Establish project funding and track status to budget
• Lead steering committee and elevate issues accordingly
• Develop pilot schedules and track plan vs. actual with daily pilot meetings and reports
• Manage global KPI/KAIs, GVD, and elevate risks
• IH review preparation and execution
• Coordinate and lead workshops to resolve major issues
• Lead issue resolution meetings with stakeholders and elevate priority concerns
• Work closely with team leads, quality, and engineering to ensure objectives are met at the station and plant levels
• Build relationships with engineering and manufacturing to comprehend new product requirements and sequence of build
• Develop and improve work methods
• Work with functional managers and operations managers to improve productivity, quality, and output
• Support Industrial System initiatives, especially for Launch Domain

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years of automotive experience
• At least three years of program management experience
• Excellent communication and computer skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work as part of a team and interface with all levels of management and labor
• Highly motivated self-starter and change agent
• Willingness to support multiple locations with travel as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of MEDDs, PentaSap, PFS, WPI, FIS, Manufacturing Portal, and MCE Global Portal
