Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Project Manager for SDI Services, an affiliate, to lead drilling and PV project execution. You will oversee contract management, scheduling, budgeting, reporting, and coordination between office and field teams across solar projects.

The role requires 5–8 years of field construction management, leadership, and strong communication. Frequent travel and a focus on safety and quality are essential for project success.

Qualifications

  • Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experience.
  • Field construction management experience (5-8 years, including supervisory skills).
  • Leadership ability.
  • Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency.

  • Drafting and computer skills.
  • Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
  • Thorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating).

Responsibilities

  • Act as central point person for assigned project; lead contract management, communication, reporting, schedule and budget maintenance, change management, risk management, document control, meetings, minutes, lessons learned, and closeout.
  • Assist in planning, directing, supervising and controlling execution of technical, fiscal and administrative functions of projects.
  • Determine technical skills and staff hours required for successful completion.
  • Obtain, analyze and circulate technical and contractual information to project team.
  • Prepare reports and activity documentation for client and project management.
  • Prepare notices and change order documentation for client/project management.
  • Determine and manage schedules and budgets for proposals and closeouts; monitor progress and material logistics.
  • Interface with procurement and subcontract personnel to coordinate office and field.
  • Support customer relationship at technical level including evaluating requirements and system design.
  • Set goals for field management, subcontractors and vendors; motivate and manage teams to stay on task.
  • Manage performance, productivity and quality of field management, subcontractors and vendors to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate delivery of materials and equipment to optimize efficiency and avoid production impact.
  • Enforce company policies, safety standards and installation best practices.
  • Attend site walks and pre-construction planning meetings.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
