Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Project Manager for SDI Services, an affiliate, to oversee drilling pile installation, racking and module installation for solar projects. You will manage contracts, communication, and scheduling across multiple projects with emphasis on cost control and safety.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years of field construction management experience, strong leadership and organizational skills, and a solid grasp of project accounting and contract law within utility-scale solar

Qualifications

  • Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experience.
  • Field construction management experience (5-8 years, including supervisory skills).
  • Leadership ability.
  • Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency.
  • Organizational and communication skills.
  • Drafting and computer skills.
  • Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
  • Thorough understanding of project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating).

Responsibilities

  • Serve as central project lead for contract management, communications, reporting, scheduling and budgeting.
  • Plan, direct and control execution of technical, fiscal and administrative project functions.
  • Determine technical skills and staff hours for successful project completion.
  • Distribute technical and contractual information to project team members.
  • Prepare reports and change orders for the client and management.
  • Manage schedules, budgets and material logistics for projects.
  • Coordinate with procurement and subcontractors for smooth office-to-field flow.
  • Support client relations with technical input and design system considerations.

Once the pre-construction team hands the project off to the Project Manager, the Project Manager is lead in all aspects regarding the project such as (and not limited to), contract management, communication, reporting, schedule maintenance, budget maintenance, change management, risk management, document control, meetings, meeting minutes, lessons learned tracking, and project closeout.Assists the in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of projects.Assists in determining the technical skills and staff hours required for successful completion of the project.Obtains, analyzes, and circulates technical and contractual information to other members of the project team.Prepares reports and documentation of activity for the client and project management.Prepares notices and change order documentation for the client and project management.Determines and manages schedules and budgets for assigned project proposal and close outs, monitors progress and manages material logistics. Interfaces with procurement and subcontract personnel to facilitate seamless coordination between the office and field.Supports the relationship with the customer at a professional and technical level - including supporting questions, evaluation requirements and system design.Set goals for field management, subcontractors and vendors.
