Insight Global is seeking a Project Manager for a rapidly growing IT managed services and professional services client. This individual will manage multiple customer-facing technical projects while ensuring delivery within established scope, budget, quality, and timeline expectations. The Project Manager will take ownership after projects are scoped by Sales and Solutions Architecture, then coordinate internal teams, project engineers, vendors, and customer stakeholders through successful completion. The ideal candidate brings MSP experience, strong financial and operational project discipline, and the executive presence needed to build confidence with customers. Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4-7 years of project management experience with a strong background in MSP, IT services, or professional services environments
- Proven ability to manage multiple technical projects from initiation through closure, including scope, budget, timelines, resources, and deliverables
- Strong client-facing communication skills with experience managing stakeholders, expectations, and customer relationships
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating internal resources, vendors, and customer stakeholders
- Proficiency with project management tools (GuideCX, Jira, monday.com, MS Project, ConnectWise, or similar) and project management methodologies
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, risk management, and financial management skills, including project profitability and margin tracking
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, ITIL, or Lean Six Sigma certification
- MBA or another relevant advanced degree
- Experience managing cloud migrations, systems integrations, firewall deployments, cybersecurity projects, Microsoft 365 initiatives, data backup projects, IT modernization, or acquisition integrations
- Experience supporting customers in manufacturing, legal services, banking, credit unions, community banking, or fintech
- Familiarity with industry regulations, security standards, and IT best practices
- Experience working in a growing, acquisition-driven organization
- Experience co-managing complex enterprise customer projects
- Knowledge of quality assurance, testing, and technical cutover processes
Job Description
- Manage multiple technical projects across different customers, internal teams, and workstreams
- Lead projects from kickoff and planning through execution, completion, and post-project review
- Deliver projects involving integrations, cloud migrations, firewalls, cybersecurity, data backup, Microsoft 365, modernization, and acquisition-related initiatives
- Review project scope after handoff from Solutions Architecture and Sales
- Build and maintain project plans, schedules, resource allocations, milestones, and work breakdown structures
- Coordinate solution architects, project engineers, internal departments, vendors, and customer resources
- Track scope, budget, resource burn, timelines, dependencies, deliverables, and overall project performance
- Monitor project profitability and gross margin throughout the engagement
- Lead client meetings and provide clear status updates to customers, stakeholders, and leadership
- Manage customer expectations and communicate client responsibilities, decisions, risks, and deadlines
- Identify and resolve project issues, risks, blockers, and scope concerns
- Facilitate quality assurance, testing, implementation readiness, and project cutovers
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, financial data, and status information
- Ensure compliance with PMO processes, tools, documentation standards, and delivery methodologies
- Support PMO initiatives and help improve consistency across a growing portfolio
- Contribute to a PMO currently managing approximately 40 to 60 active projects, with a target portfolio of roughly 20 to 30 projects as the team expands
