Job summary

UL Solutions seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead small to medium initiatives, guiding project teams from planning through delivery and governance adherence. You will manage budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications while aligning deliverables with business outcomes and ROI metrics.

You will partner with business leaders, finance, and change managers to ensure successful execution in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on clarity, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the implementation of small to medium projects.
  • Provides leadership and support to project team members.
  • Acts as front-line contact on project activities, issues, and risks.
  • Manages project risks and issues and escalates accordingly.
  • Interfaces with business leaders and with Finance, developing ROI/IRR metrics.
  • Manages stakeholders' communications and escalates as needed.
  • Adheres to governance and controls; plans and monitors project progress.
  • Oversees project budgeting and financial performance.
  • Coordinates projects and interdependencies; manages resources.
  • Aligns deliverables to outcomes with business change manager guidance.
  • Reads and follows UL Code of Conduct and security practices.

Job description

  • Managing the implementation of small to medium projects.

  • Provides overall leadership and support to project team members.

  • Acts as front-line contact on project related activities, issues, and risks.

  • Manages the project risks and issues and escalates accordingly.

  • Interfaces with Business Unit Leaders, and with Finance and develops ROI, IRR and other financial measures.

  • Manages stakeholders' communication and escalates accordingly.

  • Adheres to program and project governance (controls).

  • Plans the overall project and monitors the progress and performs Daily project management throughout the project's life cycle.

  • Manages the projects budget and financial performance.

  • Coordinates the projects and their interdependencies.

  • Manages and utilizes resources.

  • Aligns the deliverables (outputs) to the project's outcome with the aid of the business change manager.

  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.

  • Performs other duties as directed.

SKILLS

  • In depth understanding of project management concepts.

EXPERIENCE
  • More than four years of project management experience.

  • Experience working on project and portfolio management Tools (Visio, MS Project, Clarity, etc.).

EDUCATION
  • Bachelors' degree in computer science, information technology, business or related field PMP, Prince 2 and/or Agile certification (preferred but not required).

The estimated salary range for this position is $XX- $XX and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of X% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday and personal days (totaling 12 days), and sick time off (72 hours).
