Sherpa 6, Inc. seeks a Project Manager to own end-to-end project success for government customers, including budget, scope, schedule and customer satisfaction. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Program Management or related field.
  • Five years of experience managing/supervising technical teams and projects.
  • U.S. citizen and able to obtain Secret clearance.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Experience with Agile and DoW contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full life cycle of assigned projects.
  • Provide a single point of contact for assigned projects.
  • Interface with all stakeholders including Contracting, Financial, Legal, Security, Senior Staff, Executive Staff, Customers, End Users, Engineering, IT, and Team Members.
  • Participate in Business Development activities including networking, program capture, and proposal development.
  • Develop project artifacts including detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
  • Conduct project meetings virtually and/or in-person.
  • Perform project tracking and analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage and review project deliverables.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are satisfied.
  • Provide analytical guidance to the project team.
  • Recommend and direct analysis and solutions of problems.
  • Staffing and workload forecasting.
  • Work with Project Controllers to satisfy financial requirements.

Sherpa 6 is seeking a Project Manager to own project success end-to‑end — budget, scope, schedule, and customer satisfaction — on behalf of our Government customers. We're looking for someone who demonstrates strong leadership and project execution skills, has a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver, and can develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and will have the ability to operate in a team environment that is diverse and possibly remote as well as collaborate across multiple business areas to accomplish Sherpa 6's goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full life cycle of assigned projects.
  • Provide a single point of contact for assigned projects.
  • Interface with all stakeholders including Contracting, Financial, Legal, Security, Senior Staff, Executive Staff, Customers, End Users, Engineering, IT, and Team Members.
  • Participate in Business Development activities including networking, program capture, and proposal development.
  • Develop project artifacts including detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates (Estimates at Completion, or EACs), resource plans, and status reports based on contractual requirements.
  • Conduct project meetings virtually and/or in-person.
  • Perform project tracking and analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage and review project deliverables.
  • Ensure all project contractual obligations are being satisfied.
  • Provide analytical guidance to the project team.
  • Recommend and/or direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
  • Perform staffing and workload forecasting.
  • Work with Project Controllers to satisfy project financial requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Program Management or other related field
  • Five (5) years of experience managing/supervising technical teams/projects related to the role
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Army C2 systems experience
  • SOF-unique C2 systems experience
  • Prior SOF communications/combat experience
  • PMP Certification
  • Ability to build trust and confidence with customers, engineers, technicians, program management, and product line management to achieve program and business objectives
  • Demonstrate leadership by example, building trust and inspiring people through a shared vision where people feel valued, empowered, and fulfilled
  • Ability to independently lead and support technical meetings with customers, teammates, program management and leadership
  • Experience in systems engineering and/or software engineering
  • Experience executing projects with Agile methodology
  • Experience with DoW related contracts
  • Experience with proposal effort coordination, including estimating, bidding, narrative writing, risk identification, and technical leadership
  • Ability to grasp complex issues, independently formulate analysis and proposed solutions, lead people, manage complex activities, manage risks and opportunities, brief issues and represent the company well to the customer

  • Successful completion of a background screening/check/investigation will/may be required as a condition of hire.

The proposed salary range is reflective across all Sherpa 6 locations, years of experience, and skill levels. Salary negotiations will be based on a host of factors including but not limited to your geographic location, prior experience, relevant skills, education, and certifications.
