Job summary

Sigma Earth is seeking a capable Project Manager to lead utility-scale solar PV and BESS initiatives in the United States. You will collaborate across engineering, procurement, and field services to drive on-schedule, on-budget delivery.

The role emphasizes strong communication, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation, with travel up to 20% based on project needs. A 3–5 year background in PM or related fields is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support execution of utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects valued $10 million to $200 million.
  • Assist in building and maintaining strong customer relationships and ensure satisfaction.
  • Support contract administration activities including reporting, receivables tracking, change orders, and claims documentation.
  • Monitor project performance across safety, quality, schedule, budget, and cash flow with senior PMs.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, supply chain, finance, and field services for smooth execution and delivery.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation: schedules, trackers, risk registers, meeting minutes, reports.
  • Participate in meetings to strengthen stakeholder management and coordination skills.
  • Promote safety, operational excellence, and continuous process improvement throughout the lifecycle.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of utility-scale solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, contributing to projects valued between $10 million and $200 million.
  • Assist in building and maintaining strong customer relationships by addressing client needs, resolving issues proactively, and ensuring a high standard of customer satisfaction.
  • Support contract administration activities, including project reporting, receivables tracking, change order management, and claim documentation.
  • Monitor and report project performance across key metrics such as safety, quality, schedule, budget, and cash flow, while working closely with senior project managers.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, supply chain, finance, and field services, to facilitate smooth project execution, product delivery, and commissioning.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including schedules, action trackers, risk registers, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
  • Participate in internal and client meetings to strengthen stakeholder management, communication, and project coordination skills.
  • Promote a strong culture of workplace safety, operational excellence, and continuous process improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, engineering, construction, or a related field (including relevant internship or co-op experience).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% based on project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Academic or professional experience in solar energy, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), renewable energy, or power systems.
  • Internship or hands-on project experience within the engineering, construction, infrastructure, or energy sectors.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling and management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent tools.
  • Understanding of Lean methodologies and continuous improvement principles.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or active progress toward obtaining PMP credentials is preferred.
