Job summary

ResMed is seeking a technical project leader to plan, execute, and manage projects from inception to completion in a matrixed environment. You will define requirements with customers and key stakeholders and establish governance structures to ensure successful delivery.

The role requires 4+ years in technical project management, IT project delivery, or technical leadership, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and preferably PMP certification.

About the Role

Plan, execute, and manage technical projects from initiation to completion. Leverage cross‑functional knowledge and capability to identify key deliverables and effectively prioritize and manage risk, proactively escalating decisions in a timely fashion to support overall delivery. Establish requirements with customers and key stakeholders. Thoroughly understand the nature of the business requirements for each project. Make important and strategic decisions which may significantly impact the overall project deliverables to the customer. Establish roles, responsibilities and competencies required for the project. Build and manage an effective project team, including defining and obtaining required resources, utilizing internal and external personnel resources with the ability to operate in a matrix organization. Develop an overall project plan that may include a Project Charter, risk assessments, timeline and milestones, financial projections, performance measures, and communication and change management plans, following the Resmed Project Management Framework. Establish organization and governance structures to successfully deliver project objectives. Address resource constraints, dependencies, and timing challenges while syncing efforts across teams. Define delivery milestones and track progress, communicating issues, risks, and key decision timelines to sponsors and stakeholders. Escalate decisions and unresolved issues to appropriate parties. Own a project through predefined completion criteria. Communicate project goals, objectives, key status information and overall impact of the project effectively with project team members, customers and key stakeholders. Conduct lessons learned for projects and share and apply learnings to future initiatives. Travel as needed.

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in technical project management, IT project delivery, or technical leadership
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• PMP Certification, preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
• Outstanding time management and organization skills
• Adept in problem‑solving, facilitating decision making and resolving conflict

At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current base range for this position is: $102,000 - $152,000.
