We are committed to doing the right thing in our journalism and in every role at NPR. This means that integrity, adherence to our ethical standards, and compliance with legal obligations are fundamental responsibilities for every employee at NPR.

Responsibilities
  • Timeline & Milestone Enforcement: Design, monitor, and manage the master project roadmaps for critical Transformation initiatives, driving accountability across cross-functional streams.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as the primary operational connector between the Office of Transformation and other NPR and NPM teams, for operational support on NPR’s Transformation effort.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify project dependencies, flag operational bottlenecks, and work with stakeholders to implement solutions to keep projects moving forward on time.
  • Status Reporting & Governance: Maintain real-time status dashboards and reports, facilitate meetings, and package project updates for institutional leadership.
  • Coordination Support: Assist the SVP of Transformation in coordinating projects and resources across NPR teams to further our Transformation goals.

The above duties and responsibilities are not an exhaustive list of required responsibilities, duties and skills. Other duties may be assigned, and this job description can be modified at any time.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior project management experience within a media organization, membership association, or non-profit system.
  • Familiarity tracking project timelines that intersect with CRM (Salesforce) database integrations or corporate compliance updates.
  • Elite organizational, scheduling, and timeline management capabilities.
  • Strong diplomatic and consensus-building skills, with an ability to manage operational friction between technical and non-technical staff.
  • High level of agility with a track record of adapting project paths when unexpected data dependencies or legal constraints shift.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
