Job summary

Great States Construction, a leading commercial general contractor based in Fargo, ND, seeks a driven Project Manager to lead multifamily and commercial construction projects in the St. Paul/Minneapolis market.

This role partners with senior leadership and field teams to deliver projects on time and within budget, with growth into a senior leadership position. Responsibilities include managing preconstruction through closeout, owning schedules and cost tracking, coordinating subcontractors, and

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of construction project management experience with exposure to multi-family and commercial projects.
• Experience on projects in the $1MM–$50MM range preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Own project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking.
• Lead subcontractor coordination and procurement.
• Support subcontractor negotiations and contract execution.
• Monitor project financial performance and support forecasting efforts.
• Partner with Superintendent to drive field execution.
• Provide coordination and direction to project team members, including APMs or project support staff.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Assist in maintaining project budgets, including cost forecasting and variance tracking.
• Participate in client and OAC meetings.
• Drive alignment between field and office teams.
• Identify and escalation risks with support from senior leadership.
• Support successful project closeout.
